Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci may have just broken some new ground in the upcoming Fall/Winter 2010 ads that will appear in July's edition of L'Uomo Vogue by featuring a transgender person. This evolution of how fashion itself can be portrayed is only natural, since many designers now create clothing that is best described as "gender-ambiguous" and androgynous. The transgender model is a Brazilian named Lea T., who happens to be his longtime personal assistant and a former fit model for his namesake line. Lea is an excellent choice for a fashion house that has become known for being unisex in its design aesthetics. Now who is going to be next in featuring transgenders? Possibly Rad Hourani or Rick Owens?
